Procurement Intern

Vestas Global Procurement is overall responsible all strategic sourcing activities within Vestas. Our team is selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and securing the delivery of products and services for all Vestas factories, service sites and office locations.
To keep Vestas competitive, Global Procurement is committed to build relations with the best suppliers, reduce waste across the value chain and deliver benchmark cost levels for our products and services. We develop best practices anchored in tools, systems, and processes to ensure continuous improvement and unified execution in Procurement.

You will join our global Procurement team at our headquarters in Aarhus. As a member of our Global Procurement team:

• you will collaborate with professionals from across the globe
• you will contribute to the green energy transition
• you will connect the dots across different areas of the business and build a network that opens doors and creates opportunities across various functions

As a part of the intern program, you will also have the chance to visit our factories, gaining firsthand insights into our production processes and making your internship truly comprehensive. Your internship experience at Vestas is tailored in collaboration with your manager, ensuring that your journey with us is exciting from day one.

Examples of tasks could include:

• Diving into the world of contracts and negotiations. Learn how to prepare and create powerful agreements that can shape the course of Vestas' collaboration with suppliers
• Learn the ins and outs of managing suppliers, turning relationships into well-coordinated efforts that maximizes the positive outcome for all parties

You are currently a master's degree student in Denmark, preferably within Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Innovation Management and Business Development, Economics or a similarly relevant line of study.

Furthermore, as a person, you are:

• Professional and with a drive second to none, combined with a high sense of quality
• Analytical and have a structured and solution-oriented approach to tasks always supported by facts
• Proactive and motivated, and thrive in a diverse and high-paced environment
• Positive and eager to learn while having an innovative mind-set, and enjoy being a part of new initiatives
• Capable of independent decision making, while at the same time a team focus with a 'can do' attitude

Additionally, you are fluent in English (oral and written), have great conceptual thinking and great communicative skills

This is a unique opportunity to fast track your career while applying your theoretical knowledge to real business cases in a growing international environment. We offer a full-year program starting in the autumn of 2024 including subsequent student worker position and thesis case. The internship is unpaid (You will have paid lunch and reimbursement of transportation cost in case of longer commute).
