We're looking for an inspiring Platform Area Lead to help shape and lead the future of our core digital platforms. As Platform Area Lead, you will own the vision and roadmap for our core Enterprise Platforms and play a key role in defining how we deliver value to the business through scalable, secure, and innovative platform capabilities together with our strategic partners.
You'll lead across five main platform domains, each with its own product owner reporting directly to you and a technical team reporting to the Technical Area Lead. Your role is to bring it all together - aligning product teams, technical leads, and business stakeholders around a shared direction and combined platform vision.
This is a senior leadership role that requires technical insight, effective stakeholder engagement, and a clear product led mindset.


Responsibilities

  • Set the long-term vision and strategic roadmap for the platform area in alignment with Product Areas, Data & AI, platform partners and Enterprise Architecture
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to ensure platform investments support business priorities
  • Translate business product needs into platform strategies and roadmaps, while being visionary, thinking strategic and ahead of products is key
  • Lead and guide Platform Product Owners in shaping and executing their platform roadmaps
  • Inspire teams to innovate, build for reuse, and continuously improve platform value and performance
  • Drive and lead the transition towards a more autonomous business, focus on strategic alignment, adopting new technologies like AI, fostering a culture of innovation, and prioritizing data-driven decision making
  • Drive vendor relationships and evaluate partner contributions in line with strategic objectives

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in product management, digital platform leadership, or enterprise architecture
  • Thorough understanding of modern digital organizations and product-led delivery models
  • Experience managing complex roadmaps and/or capability maps across multiple domains
  • Technical know-how within SAP, CRM, PLM, IAM, and Integrations - enough to challenge and support your teams effectively
  • Experience working in large, cross-functional organizations or consultancy companies is beneficial
  • Experience in working with or inside our enterprise partners such as SAP, Salesforce, or PTC
  • Experience in license and vendor negotiation is beneficial

  • Team leadership: Ability to guide and develop product teams while building a culture of trust, clarity, and high performance
  • Systems thinking: Comfortable navigating complex interdependencies between platforms, products, and business processes

Additional information

The position can be based at one of our Vestas hubs in Aarhus or Copenhagen (Denmark), Porto (Portugal), Chennai (India), or Manila (Philippines). To ensure effective collaboration with key stakeholders, you are expected to work in a hybrid setup and align your working hours with the Central European Time (CET) zone. Please note that this position does not include relocation support.
