Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our department, Performance Testing, as part of Quality Improvements and Processes.
Our department is comprised of 22 experienced engineers and specialists based at our headquarters in Aarhus. Our team plays a vital role in supporting the entire Vestas organization by leveraging our specialized expertise and extensive competencies in the domains of Loads, Power Performance, Grid Compliance, Noise & Vibration, Power Electronics testing, and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Conduct verification programs for noise and vibration on prototype turbines and testing facilities
  • Analyze, maintain quality assurance, and generate reports based on collected data
  • Oversee the quality of deliverables from subcontractors, often test institutes
  • Communicate and provide insights on measured results to design owners
  • Contribute to the development of tool platforms and technology roadmap initiatives


Qualifications
We are seeking an ideal candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electronics, or a related engineering field
  • Proficiency in sound intensity measurement, sound power level determination, and the ability to analyze and interpret acoustical data following ISO 9614 standards
  • Competency in dynamic signal analysis, which includes expertise in Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), octave band analysis, and time-frequency analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of acoustical engineering principles and practical application of NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) principles in mechanical system design and evaluation
  • Skill in environmental noise assessment, documentation, and compliance with noise regulations
  • Familiarity with methods for predicting and mitigating noise associated with wind turbines
