A key to success is reliable and robust mechanical design which can create certainty for our customers. Lead Engineer will be responsible for identifying the most important areas to improve and drive innovative solutions including mechanical design, structural calculations, and validation. The work area primarily implies nacelle systems such as bearings, machine frames, bearing housings, bolt connections, and gears but it can also be other parts of the turbine steel/casted components.
We are looking for candidates for Lead Engineer position located in Aarhus (DK).

Responsibilities

  • Simulation and strength verification of complex mechanical structures
  • Programming in Phyton and Matlab
  • Identifying and analyzing failure modes of mechanical structures
  • Design of mechanical system
  • Valuation of mechanical designs
  • Technical feasibility studies and concept benchmarking
  • Development of concept demonstrators, specification of test procedures and evaluation of test results

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience with wind turbine mechanical design.
  • Broad physical and technical understanding
  • Experience with ANSYS workbench, APDL/Classic
  • Very good programming skills in Phyton and Matlab
  • Preferably experience with wind turbine mechanical nacelle systems such as bearings, machine frames, bearing housings, bolt connections, and gears
