The Central Audit Competence Centre team is a very important part of the global Quality, Continuous Improvement, Health &Safety and Environment (QHSE) organization. It is part of the overall governance and continuous improvement organization and supports the implementation of the strategy and carries out other activities based on the process approach throughout the global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure QHSE Audit governance, including compliance, identification and communication of high risks and best practices by coordinating the global QHSE audit management in line with the organization’s strategy
  • Organize the QHSE related audit setup and requirements within Vestas, including certification audits (3rd party), internal audits (1st party), in exchange with the Supplier Quality audit team customer audits (2nd party)
  • Make best utilization and ensure governance by use of
    • System Audits (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
    • Product process audits (VDA 6.3)
    • Focus Audits, supporting the introduction of process changes or new processes
    • Support incident analysis (incident & accident investigation)
  • Develop the direct and functional auditors' team according to business needs, in a matrixed organization, to act as partners
  • Ensure the competences & calibration of the auditors within the organization
  • Drive the Vestas QHSE Audit and ISO Certification Audit as Process Owner
  • Ensure tool-based audit planning, execution, reporting and follow-up of findings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or comparable)
  • Relevant experience as lead auditor, audit coordinator, certification body audit program or costumer manager or a similar position in a large, multinational, matrixed organization
  • Broad experience as acting auditor and accredited lead auditor for standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001, VDA 6.3, Business excellence assessor (EFQM)
  • Additional Qualifications in Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, including Lean and Six Sigma or HSE is desirable

  • Good communicator and promotor of audit supported process approach, highly competent in influencing leaders in a large, multinational, matrixed organizations
  • Overall business understanding
  • Capable of understanding and overcoming different cultural and language obstacles to provide solutions that satisfy global, regional, and local objectives

Additional information

Your work location will be at Vestas office in Aarhus DK, Hamburg or Husum, DE. Up to 50 travel days/year is expected.
