We are expanding our commissioning team and are looking for flexible and adaptive Team Players who will be hired in either UK, Denmark, Poland or Portugal with the actual work locations all around Europe and the rest of the world where Vestas will install the new V236 turbine.



Responsibilities

As a Commissioning Supervisor, you will be part of an offshore completion team, with whom you will work closely in getting the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) from installation, through commissioning and into operation. You must take all necessary actions in order to comply with Vestas safety and quality standards. Our installation team at the WTG location will hand over the tasks to you and your team. You will work with several members of the construction team, in particular the installation team, QA/QC team as well as sub-contractors and client construction teams, participating in all commissioning tasks, insuring that all tasks are carried out successfully in a safe and timely manner. You may sometimes also be required to join the installation and pre-commissioning teams when the need arises.


Furthermore, your tasks will include:

  • Ensure a safe work environment by acting in compliance with Vestas HSE requirements
  • On-site supervision of new or less experienced supervisors and technicians
  • Execute WTG completion and start up
  • Troubleshoot, operate and maintain WTGs
  • Identify, register and manage deviations
  • Maintain turbines and equipment
  • Professional and personal qualifications

Qualifications
  • You hold a technical education (electrical/mechanical) combined with WTG experience
  • You will have a technical background (electrical or mechanical) combined with WTG experience
  • You have experience working with either electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic diagrams
  • Quality (QA/QC) knowledge
  • Fluent in English

Competencies

You have experience working with either electrical, mechanical or hydraulic diagrams. You must also be focused on Health & Safety Environment (HSE), Quality (QA/QC) and customer relations. Also, to succeed in this position it is important that you have good process understanding and delegation skills. Since we are an international company, you must possess good English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

It is important that you are a team player and able to motivate and encourage your team. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty, you are focused on continuous improvement and result-oriented. As a person, you are able to remain calm under pressure, responsible and hard working. You are enthusiastic, flexible and you thrive when working in a dynamic international environment . You are flexible to travel and have no issues with being mobilized globally.

Primary work location: You can be a resident in either Denmark or UK
Expected number of worldwide travel days: 180 days per year
