Investment Analyst
Job Title: Investment Analyst – Renewable Energy
Location: Taguig City, Philippines (Office-based)
Job Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end execution of M&A and project-finance transactions, including preparation of request-for-information packs, maintenance of the data room / VDR, tracking of the due diligence checklist and follow-up with relevant counterparties
- Review mark-ups of term sheets and definitive documentation; compile schedules and annexures; track conditions precedent, closing deliverables and financial-close requirements; maintain the SPV permits and document repository for lenders
- Coordinate with onboarded advisors and respond to lender and advisor queries; manage advisor-payment tracking
- Build and maintain detailed project-finance-ready equity and lender financial models from templates, incorporating cost estimation, sensitivities, covenant testing and preliminary economic runs for prospective projects
- Perform project valuations, update the quarterly valuation model, and prepare first drafts of credit-committee decks, information memoranda and investment reports
- Analyse the competitive landscape, industry trends and regulatory requirements to inform strategic decision-making; evaluate key assumptions and project drivers
- Prepare financial forecasts and sensitivity / scenario analyses across different markets and regulatory environments; develop business cases for potential projects to support management decisions and presentations
- Execute FP&A deliverables including construction and operating budget monitoring, budget-variance consolidation, disbursement sizing and capital-call inputs; support the annual operating plan build and post-milestone look-back analysis
- Prepare inputs to quarterly, monthly and weekly management and asset-management reports
- Maintain databases, review third-party references and conduct ad hoc and capability-building market research
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field; CFA designation or passing CFA Level II is a plus
- 3 to 5 years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance, with a background in greenfield renewables, M&A transactions or debt raising
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and presentation skills
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to distil complex financial and operational information into clear investment recommendations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Desired Experience:
- Prior exposure to the renewable energy, infrastructure or power sector
- Hands-on experience building project finance models from scratch
- Familiarity with Philippine energy regulations and market dynamics
- Exposure to lender due diligence processes and project financing documentation
- Experience preparing investment committee materials and management presentations
