As VX26 planning accelerates, we’re looking for a part-time Associate to support research, programming, and media/editorial work across VerdeXchange and The Planning Report.


This role is for someone who is:

• Comfortable working across energy, infrastructure, climate tech, and policy

• Strong in research synthesis and executive-level writing

• Proactive and detail-oriented with good project management instincts

• Interested in the intersection of public policy, energy, environment, urban planning, infrastructure, P3s and California market implementation


Core responsibilities may include:

• Supporting conference programming, organizing/ tracking progress, and speaker research

• Assisting with VX News / TPR editorial workflows

• Preparing background briefs on energy, water, mobility, and AI topics

• Helping coordinate partner / sponsor materials and side events (dinners, receptions, closed meetings)

• General operational support


Platforms we use include:

Cvent · Mailchimp · LinkedIn · Google Workspace · Zoom · Canva/basic CMS/editorial tools (familiarity would be nice to have)


Structure: Part-time (up to ~15 hours/week). Strong fit for graduate students in planning, policy, energy, or related fields. Hybrid, minimum commitment of 1x/week in-person at The Bloc (DTLA). Engagement will be structured through a consulting agreement.


Compensation: $18–$20/hour, hours likely increasing as VX26 approaches (May 31–June 3, 2026).
