We are seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering (Levels V–VII) to lead our electrical engineering team. This role combines technical excellence, leadership, and business engagement. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on technical expert and a trusted leader who can guide projects and people with confidence.

What You Will Do

Technical Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide technical oversight of electrical engineering aspects across all in-house projects, ensuring alignment with project scope and corporate risk management standards.
  • Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer on assigned projects.
  • Perform advanced electrical system design in accordance with NEC and other applicable standards.
  • Conduct relay coordination, short circuit, and arc flash studies.
  • Oversee development of electrical specifications, including construction work specifications.
  • Prepare and review studies, due diligence reports, capital cost estimates, and design documents from concept through construction completion.

Project & Resource Management

  • Define project electrical scope of work and determine staffing requirements.
  • Develop and manage schedules for electrical deliverables.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with quality standards.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor Engineers I–IV and designers.
  • Provide recommendations for hiring, promotions, and professional development.
  • Monitor performance, offer coaching and feedback, and identify training opportunities.
  • Assign and manage workflow to support both project success and team growth.

Business Development Support

  • Prepare proposals and presentations in support of new business opportunities.
  • Contribute technical insight during client engagements and project pursuits.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of engineering experience
  • Level (V–VII) determined by experience, qualifications, and demonstrated performance
  • Strong knowledge of medium voltage equipment and distribution systems
  • Expertise in electrical equipment and wiring design
  • Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams
  • ETAP or SKM, relay pro and VFD programming, lighting software, energy code software
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Business acumen with the ability to problem-solve independently and strategically
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
