About the Role 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Analyst Intern to join our team. This role is a unique mix of product management and data analysis, designed for someone passionate about using data to drive product decisions. You will work closely with our Engineering and Product Management teams, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that shape our product development and business strategy. As a member of our small, ambitious, and international team, you will contribute directly to our mission of combating climate change through innovative, scalable solutions.



Responsibilities

  • Query and manage databases (specifically PostgreSQL) to extract and prepare data for analysis.
  • Clean, preprocess, and analyze large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support product development and business decisions.
  • Collaborate with team members to translate product requirements and business questions into data-driven analysis and insights.
  • Create and maintain data visualizations, dashboards (using Looker Studio, Power BI), and reports to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain data processing scripts and automation workflows using Python.
  • Support the team by documenting data sources, queries, and analysis results for clarity and reproducibility.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with database management tools (e.g., DBeaver, pgAdmin) and BI/visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Python programming for data manipulation and analysis, with essential experience in Pandas and NumPy.
  • A solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to document your work clearly.


Education

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's (B.Tech) or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field from a recognized institution.


Bonus Points

  • Prior experience working with geospatial datasets.
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts and libraries like Scikit-learn.
  • A demonstrated interest in climate change, agriculture, or environmental science.
  • Experience participating in data analysis competitions or showcasing personal projects on platforms like GitHub.
