We are seeking a skilled and reliable Solar O&M Field Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting commercial or utility-scale solar PV systems. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of field-deployed solar assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems (commercial or utility-scale).

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system faults, including inverters, modules, combiner boxes, and electrical components.

  • Conduct system inspections, testing, and performance analysis using diagnostic tools and software.

  • Perform IV curve tracing, thermography, and other advanced testing techniques.

  • Complete and submit detailed service reports, logs, and documentation.

  • Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and industry regulations.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and contractors as needed.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory for field operations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in solar O&M, preferably on commercial or utility-scale systems.

  • Strong understanding of PV systems, electrical schematics, and safety procedures.

  • Experience with major inverter brands (e.g., SMA, Sungrow, ABB, etc.).

  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and monitoring software.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to field sites.

  • Ability to work independently and in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NABCEP certification or equivalent is a plus.

  • OSHA 10/30 certification.

  • Associate's degree or technical diploma in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy-related field.

  • Experience with medium-voltage (MV) equipment and utility interconnection preferred
