Valeo’s Site located in Cergy, is Valeo’s Power Division Headquarters. It employs over 800 people working on the development of electric powertrain systems (inverter, onboard charger, etc.).
As part of the strategic development of our Data Center and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) businesses, we are seeking our future R&D Manager for Thermal Management M/F, who will be responsible for overseeing all technical, budgetary, and human resources aspects of a platform dedicated to cooling solutions (liquid cooling of chips, CDUs, and thermal modules).
Your mission will be to define technological strategies, optimize resources, and ensure the development of next-generation platform standards.
Your Responsibilities
You hold a master’s degree (Bac+5) in Thermal Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, or Complex Systems, and have at least 10 years of experience in R&D development, ideally gained in the thermal systems/cooling sector for data centers, BESS, the automotive industry, or the energy sector.
You have developed solid expertise in thermal engineering and product platform development, as well as in R&D team management.
You are well-versed in intellectual property management issues and have a strong command of standardization and budget management methodologies.
Recognized for your leadership and interpersonal skills, you thrive in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
You are fluent in English.

Your Responsibilities
- Define technical product strategies in accordance with the R&D Cooling platform roadmaps
- Drive the development of platform standards, ensure their implementation, and identify technological synergies with other product lines
- Ensure the protection of intellectual property
- Oversee the rollout of technical training and provide warranty support
- Lead, coordinate, and optimize the organization of the platform’s R&D teams
- Develop, manage, and safeguard the platform’s overall R&D budget
- In collaboration with the Business Unit Manager, ensure the teams are appropriately staffed, available, and continuously developing their skills
- Provide tools for knowledge capture and sharing
- Drive continuous improvement in technical performance and R&D efficiency
