Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support the marketing efforts for a local NJ electric utility's energy efficiency programs , ensuring they are implemented successfully and in a timely manner. This includes supporting the planning, coordination and execution of marketing and outreach strategies that increase program participation, customer awareness, and stakeholder engagement. This position bridges program operations with marketing activities, ensuring alignment between outreach initiatives, vendor campaigns, and portfolio objectives. Your responsibilities will include conducting targeted market research, tracing campaign performance and online activities,  and interfacing with the client's marketing team and vendor and our outreach team. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, marketing experience in the energy/utility sector and a passion for implementing successful marketing strategies. This is a Full Time exempt position with up to 30% travel within New Jersey and mainly in South Jersey.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Outreach Team and Program Managers to develop and implement Marketing & Outreach (M&O) strategies that drive participation across all customer segments.
• Partner with the marketing vendor to coordinate campaigns, advertisements, promotions, collateral, and website content.
• Track and submit events through the marketing vendor’s event tracker to ensure accurate reporting and visibility.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for triage, routing, and tracking of incoming M&O requests.
• Facilitate the development of compliant program materials, graphics, and presentations that align with brand and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist in event planning, logistics, and coordination for community and contractor-facing activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • 2-4 years of previous experience as a Marketing Coordinator or similar position
  • 2–4 years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or utility program implementation
  • Knowledge of residential, commercial, or industrial energy efficiency technologies and practices.
  • Understanding of digital marketing tools and research methods
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, excel, Powerpoint), project management and CRM (Salesforce, Monday.com, Asana, etc.)
  • Has a functional, separate Home office work environment with quality internet service
