About Company
At Uravu Labs, we are dedicated to making human life more sustainable and communities more resilient. We believe in the need for breakthrough technologies in the water industry to create a sustainable future for everyone. Our patent-pending and award-winning 100% renewable water technology uses atmospheric moisture and renewable energy to produce high-quality drinking water. Scalable to large quantities, our solution serves industries and communities in a decentralized and carbon-neutral way. We deliver impactful outcomes for water initiatives and aim to completely rethink how we experience water.
Building on this technology, Uravu Labs develops water-positive cooling and water-from-air systems for data centers, defence, and industrial facilities. Our proprietary liquid-salt desiccant captures atmospheric moisture and is regenerated using low-grade waste heat (35–60°C), simultaneously cooling the host facility and producing distilled water. By combining water generation with energy-efficient cooling, we are creating sustainable solutions for some of the world's most water- and energy-intensive industries.
How We Started
Founded in 2019, Uravu Labs was born out of a shared vision to address water scarcity issues, particularly inspired by the founders' own experiences on the NIT Calicut campus during their studies. Driven by a passion for innovation and sustainability, Uravu Labs embarked on a mission to develop cutting-edge solutions that could extract water from the air using renewable energy sources. The company's journey began with the realization that existing methods were not entirely sustainable due to their heavy reliance on electricity and the use of refrigerants with high global warming potential.
Determined to make a difference, the founders set out to create a solution that would be truly renewable and sustainable, resulting in groundbreaking technology that harnesses renewable energy to produce clean water from the air.
Role at a glance:
Be the founder's right hand, working closely with Swapnil (CEO) across business development, fundraising, investor outreach, pitch decks, and strategic projects. This is a high-ownership, fast-paced role for someone who can turn meetings, ideas, and conversations into outcomes while gaining a front-row seat to building a climate-tech startup. As Uravu scales from validated technology to commercial deployment and an active Series A raise, you'll be at the center of key business initiatives, supporting customer conversations, fundraising efforts, and strategic execution across the company.
Role Overview:
The founder is pulled across fundraising, customer development, product, and partnerships every single day. We need someone who can absorb that chaos and convert it into structured, high-quality output — a sharper deck, a cleaner model, a researched investor list, a tight follow-up, a ready-to-send one-pager. You will be the connective tissue between the founder's vision and the artifacts and actions that move the company forward. The bar is simple: things you own get done, on time, with quality and without being chased.
What you will own:
Fundraising Support:
- Help build, refine, and maintain the Series A pitch deck, investor one-pagers, teasers, and the data room — keeping every version sharp, consistent, and current.
- Manage the investor pipeline: research and qualify targets, maintain the investor CRM/database, track outreach status, prep briefing notes ahead of investor calls, and own timely follow-ups.
- Turn financial models and business-model structures (FOCO, franchise/NCD financing, buyback scenarios) into clean, investor-ready narratives and slides.
.
Business development
- Support BD with data centers, steel plants, defence, and industrial customers — building customer-specific value & ROI analyses, proposals, and one-pagers.
- Research target accounts and markets, map decision-makers, prepare outreach, and keep the BD pipeline organized and moving.
- Help translate technical capability into commercial language that lands with non-technical buyers.
Pitch, content & decks
- Build and polish decks for investors, customers, accelerators, and partners — strong structure, clean visuals, tight copy.
- Prepare materials for accelerator and pitch programs, applications, and Q&A prep.
- Produce crisp written assets: emails, briefs, summaries, and narratives.
Founder's office coordination & execution
- Run the loop around the founder's meetings: prepare agendas and briefs beforehand, capture notes and decisions, circulate action items with clear ownership and timelines, and drive follow-ups to closure.
- Track commitments, priorities, deadlines, and action items across internal stakeholders, investors, customers, and partners, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
- Support calendar coordination for critical internal and external meetings, travel, and key commitments as needed.
- Maintain strong documentation and organization in Notion and Google Workspace, including trackers, meeting logs, project updates, and important records.
Strategy & special projects
- Jump into ad-hoc research and analysis — markets, competitors, policy, customer economics, new business models.
- Take on whatever the moment demands: if it's important and unowned, you own it.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a founder's office, venture/PE, consulting, investment banking, BD/sales, startup operations, or a similar fast-paced analytical/commercial role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Strong deck-building (Google Slides / PowerPoint / Pitch) and spreadsheet/modeling skills.
- Strong research, synthesis, and organization skills; comfort managing many parallel threads and deadlines.
- A demonstrated bias for action and ownership — you ship, you follow up, you close.
Preferred/Bonus:
- Exposure to fundraising, investor relations, or BD/sales in a startup context.
- Comfort with financial modeling, unit economics, and business-model analysis.
- Interest in or familiarity with climate-tech, deep-tech, hardware, or infrastructure.
- Experience with CRMs, Notion, and modern productivity tooling.
- Startup / 0→1 experience and a founder-like sense of urgency.
How Success looks like in this role:
- The founder trusts you with whole workstreams — decks, investor pipeline, BD follow-ups and they run reliably without hand-holding.
- The pitch deck, data room, and investor CRM are always current, sharp, and ready.
- Investor and customer follow-ups happen on time, every time; nothing slips.
- You've independently driven at least one BD or fundraising project end-to-end.
- You've become the person the team goes to when something important needs to get done
