UPM Communication Papers is looking for a Commercial Excellence Manager who will be responsible for developing a highly skilled North American Sales Area team which leads to strong market performance as well as customer centricity and engagement.

What You Will Do

  • Implement defined sales processes and tools within the North American sales area to enable defined ways of working, use of technology, and alignment with other Sales Areas
  • Identify commercial requirements and customer needs within for the Sales Area and provide internal input to guide future developments
  • Identify and implement best practices across sales teams
  • Monitor key performance indicators for the Sales Area on sales performance, market conditions and team progress, benchmark with other Sales Areas, and maintain action plans
  • Ensure effective implementation of sales initiatives including customer segmentation, category strategies, product management and development as well as pricing approach in close collaboration with other involved functions
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging multi-directional feedback related to development
  • Collaborate within the functional level development team to bring the Sales Area perspective to organizational development topics. Additionally, responsible for launching development initiatives and tasks within the Sales Area.

Who You Are

  • You have 3 to 5 years’ experience in a sales related function and ideally experience in developing an area or team
  • You have university degree or equivalent level of experience
  • You have demonstrated success in identifying and implementing best practices as well as process development
  • You have a mindset geared towards efficiency, agility and streamlining
  • You have good team co-operation skills
  • You coordinate and communicate effectively in challenging situations
  • You demonstrate readiness for change and taking initiative
  • You possess relevant sales system experience, including those systems currently in use within the sales team
  • You are fluent in English

Salary range: 107,780- 143,700 USD/ year based on qualifications and experience

Additional information

This position will either be based in the Naperville, IL office or a remote home-office based position.

Travel requirements: Occasional
