We are now looking for a Director, Supply Chain & Logistics (m/f/d) to join UPM Next Generation Renewables Commercial Team. The position is located in Leuna, Germany or in Helsinki, Finland.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations and indirect sourcing to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness and cost effectiveness
  • Drive strategic planning and decision-making to develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, procedures and process improvements
  • Partner with senior leaders to align in and outbound supply, logistics and planning with business strategy, market needs and regulatory requirements
  • Champion the S&OP (sales and operations planning) process to align production, procurement and logistics schedules to optimize margins and working capital
  • Lead logistics network across relevant geographies (EMEA, NORAM, APAC) to deliver products to customers and feedstocks to plants on time and in full in fuels and chemicals environment
  • Develop the supply chain and sourcing organization, capabilities and people
  • Optimize inventory and working capital to support business performance targets

Who You Are

  • You have extensive leadership experience in supply chain management in an international environment
  • You have proven expertise in delivering end-to-end, market-driven supply chain performance
  • You have strong people leadership, stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
  • You are a data-driven problem solver with a continuous improvement/lean mindset
  • You have experience across operations, logistics, sourcing, and/or the integrated supply chain
  • You have a university degree and 10+ years of relevant experience and speak English and possibly German or Finnish or another language
