We are now looking for a Graduate, Development Engineer to join our Pulp Operation team. Home location of the position will be in Lappeenranta, Finland.

What You Will Do

As a Graduate at the Kaukas Pulp Mill, you will focus on development projects that improve the mill’s reliability, problem-solving, and efficiency in our pulp operations. As a Graduate, you will play a key role in shaping efficient and innovative operations.

Your Main Duties Will Be

  • Design and automate processes that ensure smooth, cost-competitive operations and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide hands-on technical support across planning, production, and delivery, while influence and guide others with your expertise
  • Solve real-world challenges on the shop floor by troubleshoot equipment, materials, and process issues - and introducing creative solutions
  • Lead diverse projects where you will recommend and implement new approaches to boost productivity and reduce costs

Who You Are

  • You have a relevant master’s degree (e.g., Energy Technology, Bioproduct Technology)
  • You have a strong interest in the pulp or energy industry
  • You have an active approach, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing situations
  • You are able to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English and Finnish
