Supplier Quality and Sustainability team is a small and dynamic team of sustainability professionals, driven to turn corporate responsibility ambitions into concrete action through sourcing and supply chain management. Situated in the sourcing and procurement function, we work in the exciting interface between various stakeholder groups from business and strategy to responsibility, compliance, and our diverse, global supplier base. Though all team members have designated tasks and areas of expertise, we collaborate closely, supporting one-another and sharing knowledge and experience as one. Supply chain sustainability is a moving target, and constant competence development, shared learning and best practice sharing are in the core of our team. If you are a curious mind, looking to grow and develop as a sustainability expert and an internal influencer, come join our team!
What You Will Do
We are looking for recent graduates, or students several years into their studies in business, sustainability, supply chain management, or other relevant topic. Our ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a development-oriented mindset, ability to collaborate and bring together various stakeholders, and a genuine interest in driving sustainability. Our team operates globally, and an excellent command of the English language is a must. Prior experience of working in procurement and/or sustainability is appreciated but not required.
We will onboard you to your tasks, as well as the rules and ways of working in our workplace. From your first day, you are a full member of our working community, and we encourage you to be active, learn, and ask questions about your work.

What You Will Do
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups to drive the implementation of our Sustainable Supply Chain Program
- Work on our value chain emission reduction program by collecting product carbon footprint data from our suppliers, and by developing data quality, reporting and utilization
- Research best practices in biodiversity-related supply chain management, evaluate their feasibility and plan their implementation in UPM supply chains
- Develop a training program to accelerate supplier development on sustainability topics
- Provide sustainability-related expertise and support for our sourcing and procurement professionals and for our suppliers
