About The Role
The role of Digital Campaigner at Uplift offers an exciting opportunity to influence and shape the future of Scotland’s energy system. Based within the UK, with a preference for candidates in Scotland, you will work closely with our campaigns team and external partners to develop and implement dynamic digital strategies. Your primary focus will be on building political momentum for a fair and democratic energy transition that prioritizes the needs of workers, communities, and the environment. This position involves creating compelling digital content, managing online engagement, and coordinating with a diverse network of stakeholders to drive public support and hold policymakers accountable.
You will play a vital role in elevating community voices and showcasing stories that highlight the experiences of those impacted by energy policies. Your efforts will help craft a unified, powerful narrative advocating for a future energy system that is sustainable, equitable, and beneficial for all. Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will contribute to strategic planning, digital outreach, and campaign execution, ensuring maximum impact and visibility for Uplift's initiatives.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a strong likelihood of renewal, offering an opportunity to make a tangible difference in shaping Scotland’s energy policies. The role offers competitive salary within Grade 2 of the Uplift salary scale (£42,283 - £48,694 pro-rata), with flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance. Standard working hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with consideration for requests to work four days a week or flexible hours. The starting date is ASAP, with interviews anticipated in late January 2026.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will possess significant experience in digital campaigning, communications, or related roles, demonstrating a proven track record of developing and leading successful digital strategies. You should have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret changing political and social landscapes, enabling quick and effective content creation for social media platforms. Experience with digital tools such as Canva, Capcut, and website management systems is essential. Additionally, skills in video editing, graphic design, and social media management are highly desirable.

- Strategy Development and Execution: Collaborate with colleagues and partners to design and implement comprehensive digital campaign strategies and tactics aimed at maximizing impact and engagement.
- Digital Communications: Manage and update campaign websites, ensuring content is current, engaging, and accessible. Develop and send regular email communications to supporters, nurturing engagement and expanding supporter networks.
- Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and publish content across social media channels. Engage with online communities, monitor performance metrics, and optimize strategies to enhance reach and engagement. Coordinate with partners to support mobilizations and campaigns.
