Your Responsibilities

As Transacademic Interface Manager (TIM) in the Field of Excellence "Climate Change Graz" your responsibilites will include:

  • Designing the interface between companies, administration/politics, NGOs and the population (our stakeholders) on the one hand, and research/science on the other
  • Actively supporting ongoing transdisciplinary research projects
  • Initiation, establishment and maintenance of national and international stakeholder networks for cooperation in projects involving different research groups in the Field of Excellence
  • Establishment and coordination of transdisciplinary collaboration in research projects (from assessment of needs, development of research questions, co-design and co-production in research to dissemination of research results)
  • Design and moderation of stakeholder processes

Your Profile

  • Doctorate/PhD in communication, social sciences, economics, humanities or natural sciences
  • Experience in national and international third-party funded projects on climate change (climate impacts, climate protection, adaptation)
  • Experience in moderating and supporting stakeholder processes in the context of climate change research
  • Experience in knowledge transfer and in the development and implementation of educational formats, in particular Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
  • Relevant expertise in transdisciplinary research and working methods, e.g. living labs (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the regional and national stakeholder environment in the field of climate change and corresponding networking (desirable)
  • Excellent German and English language skills and, ideally, relevant publication experience (science to public and science to science)
  • High level of social and communication skills

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 70,200.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
