Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Group Manager, Sustainability is also overseeing ESG reports and disclosures in accordance with local and global frameworks, including SEC 17-A, GRI, CDP, TCFD, SASB, and IFRS. The role is engaging with internal and external stakeholders to advance ESG goals, improve sustainability ratings, and stay ahead of emerging trends and regulations. Additionally, the Sustainability Manager is responsible for driving organizational sustainability awareness, capability-building programs, and internal recognition efforts to strengthen the integration of sustainability into the organization’s culture, operations, and long-term value creation.


What are there Job Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Review & Implementation

  • Lead the review and execution of URC’s sustainability strategy with strategic guidance from the Sustainability Steering Committee, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and global best practices.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of URC’s Climate Action Strategies, including GHG Inventory, Emissions reduction, Carbon Offsetting and Climate risk management.
  • Drive the end-to-end execution of the Company’s EPR strategy and compliance, ensuring timely and successful external audits, and management of the EPR budget.

2. Sustainability Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and evaluate key sustainability metrics to track progress against strategic goals and targets.
  • Collaborate with sustainability leads and process owners to generate insights and develop data-driven recommendations that drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance
  • Ensure timely consolidation and reporting of sustainability data to support internal reviews and decision-making processes.

3. ESG Reporting & Disclosures:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate sustainability data and programs for external disclosures
  • Ensure alignment of disclosures with relevant local and global reporting frameworks and standards, including SEC 17-A, GRI, CDP, TCFD, SASB, and IFRS.
  • Lead the development, drafting, review, and approval process of sustainability reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely publication.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Improvement of ESG Ratings

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to align on ESG priorities, share best practices, and support the integration of sustainability across functions.
  • Collaborate with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and sustainability networks to stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and evolving standards
  • Coordinate ESG assessments and ensure timely, accurate responses to rating agencies.

5. Sustainability Awareness & Capability Building

  • Design and develop functional and technical programs to drive organizational sustainability literacy (e.g. ESG Learning Series, Sustainability Summit)
  • Deliver engaging and accessible content and awareness sessions that empower employees at all levels to understand and contribute to the company’s sustainability goals

6. Sustainability Recognition Program

  • Lead and facilitate internal sustainability awards to recognize plants and individuals contributing to achieving the highest level of excellence in Quality, Efficient Resource Management, Safety, Health, and Wellbeing
  • Monitor program effectiveness and evolve recognition efforts to drive continued awareness and engagement.

7. People Management

  • Manage the sustainability group's activities and processes to ensure effective execution of strategic priorities
  • Ensure that the objective of the group is achieved in the most cost effective and resource-efficient manner
  • Evaluate team capability and training needs, identify competency gaps, and recommend development plans to strengthen team performance and alignment with organizational goals


Qualifications:

  • With 3-5 years relevant experience in Sustainability or EHS on a food manufacturing,and/or food and beverage operations and agriculture, preferably in systems, processes, operational discipline
  • With expert knowledge on the development and preparation of Sustainability Reports aligned to Local and Global Sustainability Frameworks and Standards (SEC, GRI, SASB, TCFD
  • With expert knowledge on Extended Producer Responsibility, Circular Economy, Decarbonization and Climate Related Risks & Opportunities
  • With the excellent Project and Stakeholder Management Skills and ability to influence the organization and make sound conclusions/recommendation through systems and program
  • With proficient verbal and written communication, presentation (visualization) and interpersonal skills
  • With proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (O365, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint)
  • Can work in a dynamic environment that involves local trave
