Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS) and associated devices.
- Independently manage BAS service calls, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities.
- Calibrate building automation controls to ensure accuracy and dependability.
- Assist in developing and maintaining control sequences of operation (SOO) and related documentation.
- Contribute to the development of BAS control programs.
- Install, program, and maintain BAS systems.
- Design and manage graphic user interfaces (GUIs) using frontend software.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, including system backups and error assessments.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience as a control’s technician or in a comparable role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with direct digital control (DDC) systems such as Niagara N4, JCI, Trane, Honeywell, or Distech.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC maintenance, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a control’s technician or similar role.
- Certification from an accredited trade school or apprenticeship program.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building automation systems.
- Niagara N4 certification.
