The UN Volunteer will support the growth and diversification of UNOPS Papua New Guinea’s portfolio across infrastructure, procurement, and project management. UNOPS PNG works closely with the Government of Papua New Guinea, the World Bank, the European Union, and the Government of Australia on initiatives in health, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and sustainable energy. Through tailored, results-driven solutions, UNOPS supports national development priorities and sustainable outcomes. UNOPS operates in Asia and the Pacific through the Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO), headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, which provides strategic leadership and oversight across 17 countries. Within this structure, the East Asia and Pacific Multi-Country Office (EAPMCO) supports operations across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, and the Pacific, covering 24 countries. Established in January 2023, EAPMCO provides strategic direction, operational support, and quality assurance to ensure effective project delivery. Its portfolio focuses on priority areas including energy transition, climate change, and sustainable development, drawing on UNOPS’ core expertise in infrastructure, procurement, human resources, fund management, and programme management.
The assignment is based in Port Moresby, within the UNOPS Papua New Guinea Country Office. The International UN Volunteer Specialist (Partnership Analyst) will report directly to the UNOPS PNG Country Manager and work closely with Project Managers to identify and develop emerging partnership and business opportunities.
