The Climate Change Mitigation and Emissions Analysis Consultant will benefit from her/his extensive local network in functioning as a liaison between the stakeholders in Georgia and the UNEP project team. The local data gathering process will rely largely on the network of the local consultant and their efforts to undertake interview, gather documents and databases, and the like. She/he will support the data gathering and advise on the mapping of local stakeholders. Finally, she/he will provide technical inputs to the various deliverables. The ultimate result of the services is the effective technical and coordination support necessary for the successful delivery of Outputs 1, 2, 3, and 6 of the project. This includes the provision of complete, accurate datasets; the facilitation of engagement with national stakeholders; and the timely organization of workshops and consultations required for activities under the project in Georgia. This includes the provision of complete, accurate datasets; the facilitation of engagement with national stakeholders; and the timely organization of workshops and consultations required for activities under the project in Georgia. Specifically, the consultant will deliver:
- Data inputs for sector‑specific baseline emission intensities and other supporting information required under Output 1.
- Datasets and stakeholder‑validated inputs for the development of Marginal Abatement Cost Curves (MACCs) under Output 2.
- Data gathered under Output 3, including input from stakeholders.
- Support for communication and logistics, including organization of meetings, facilitation of stakeholder engagement, and provision of translation as needed throughout the project period.
- Support in organization of the dissemination workshop and a detailed workshop report, as required under Output 6.
