This is an onsite role requiring 5 days per week in Auburn Hills, MI.
Responsibilities
- Reads blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments, and operational instructions to provide support for testing activities.
- Evaluates laboratory support activity results and may review data for conformance with specifications..
- Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed.
- Responds to user requests to repair and/or modify existing laboratory instrumentation, automated systems and test fixtures.
- As applicable, records observed or calculated data on appropriate UL forms as the record of laboratory support activities.
- May plan laboratory support activities, and evaluate results, as directed.
- Performs routine maintenance on existing laboratory instrumentation, automated systems and test fixtures using established procedures.
- Ensures both new and existing test systems meet safety requirements and compliance with the local laws.
- Designs and builds test fixtures.
- Read and follow the UL Standards of Business Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices
- Performs other duties as directed.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in laboratory equipment maintenance, manufacturing equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or similar.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000-67,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
