Senior Project Developer (m/f/d)
As an energy park developer, the UKA Group plans, builds, operates and sells wind farms and solar parks, as well as battery storage systems.
With more than 80 wind farms developed in-house and now operational, we are helping shape a sustainable power supply in Germany, Europe as well as North and South America that is independent of fossil fuel imports, ensures lower power prices and is climate-friendly. Our energy projects generate enough electricity to reliably supply around 1.4 million households – making a tangible contribution to the energy transition.
Your responsibilities
- Be responsible for all aspects of project development from early stage to execution ready.
- Work closely to review the portfolio of projects managed by the development team, ensuring all key development milestones are met (land control, permitting, interconnection, engineering, procurement, power marketing, etc.) and provide clear direction, strategic guidance, and daily support to team members to ensure alignment with project and company goals.
- Ensure that each project has a clear and achievable development plan, including budget, schedule, and risk management strategies.
- Work closely with UKA Poland leadership and parent company counterparts. Contribute to strategic planning and pipeline development, helping shape the long-term direction of the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
- Personally lead the development of select renewable energy projects. Interface cross-functionally with internal teams including legal, finance, engineering, and external stakeholders to advance development efforts Propose solutions for optimizing the project development process.
Our requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, renewable energy, environmental protection, energy, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy space, with a proven track record of managing interdisciplinary teams
- Proven experience in wind project development, including a track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale projects to construction stage.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading diverse stakeholder groups internally and externally.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, industry trends, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze project economics and financial models.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
