About The Role

Reporting to the Site HSE Manager, you'll provide environmental support across all phases of construction, helping the project meet its environmental obligations while promoting responsible work practices on site.

This is a hands-on role combining field-based environmental management, compliance, reporting and stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with project managers, supervisors and subcontractors to drive positive environmental outcomes while maintaining compliance with project requirements and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day environmental support across construction activities, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Embed and maintain environmental management plans, procedures and associated documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and environmental monitoring to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with environmental incidents, investigations, corrective actions and compliance reporting.
  • Work closely with project teams, supervisors and subcontractors to promote environmental awareness and drive continuous improvement.


About You

  • Experience as an onsite Environmental Advisor within renewable energy, power, utilities, infrastructure, or other major project environments.
  • Qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline, with sound knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting environmental compliance across large-scale renewable energy, transmission, substation or BESS construction projects, including site inspections and reporting activities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence positive environmental outcomes across project teams and subcontractors.
  • A solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work a DIDO roster and build strong working relationships across site teams.
