Your mission

As our Founder’s Associate, your mission is to keep Ucaneo running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll oversee critical internal processes — from financial planning and grant coordination to operational administration such as inventory and visa support. You’ll help shape our company culture through well-organized events and smooth team operations. Working closely with the founders, you’ll build scalable systems that drive clarity, efficiency, and sustainable growth across the organization.


Key Responsibilties



  • Financial Control – manage company spending and invoicing through our financial tool, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and maintain up-to-date business plans and financial models.

  • Grant & Funding Management – prepare financial documentation for public grants and funding programs, ensuring compliance, timely submissions, and accurate reporting.

  • Asset & Inventory Management – establish and maintain an organized inventory of company assets, lab and office equipment, and procurement records.

  • People & Operations – support HR administration, onboarding, and visa processes while coordinating procurement, contracts, and vendor relations.

  • Culture & Events – organize company events, offsites, and team travel, fostering collaboration and a strong team culture across the organization.


Your profile

Skills & Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • 2–3 years in a Finance, Controlling, or Operations role, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis, familiarity with expense management systems, and solid understanding of key SaaS metrics and business fundamentals. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (mandatory).

  • Strong numerical and problem-solving abilities; data-driven decision-maker.

  • Highly structured, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to communicate complex information clearly.

  • Fluency in German and strong working proficiency in English.
