Software Engineer (AI-focused)
Wind farms are still run on spreadsheets, manual inspections and gut feel. We're building the technology that changes that - and we need an engineer to build it with us from the ground up.
TWIND Solutions is a wind-tech startup building lifecycle intelligence SaaS for the energy industry. We are a small team with deep engineering expertise, and we're looking for an engineer who wants to build alongside us and help shape how our products are made.
We like people who question the brief, take on hard problems, and find the simple solutions.
The role
You will work directly with the founders on the software behind our products. Your work will span:
- AI-powered features: building LLM-based capabilities including retrieval, automation, tool use and defining guardrails
- Platform engineering: developing backend services, data pipelines and front-end features across our products
- Field and workflow tools: contributing to software that supports energy asset management and real-world industrial workflows
You will own real parts of the system from day one, from design to deployment to seeing how customers use it.
This is a fast-paced startup environment. You'll work across different parts of the stack, learn quickly and have a lot of room to take responsibility.
Wind knowledge is not required. We'll teach you the domain.
Who we're looking for
- A degree in computer science, software engineering, data science or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). Engineers from other disciplines who have taught themselves to build with AI are welcome. Fresh graduates and people with up to ~5 years of experience are welcome.
- We also welcome Master's students in their final year for a student position alongside their studies, with the option to transition to full-time after graduation.
- Solid coding skills, with experience building and deploying backend services and working with APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs, such as RAG systems, tool-using agents or evaluation workflows. Personal, thesis and open-source projects count. We care that you built it and can tell us what went wrong along the way.
- A track record of shipping something: taking an idea and turning it into a running product, however small.
- Ownership and initiative. You raise problems early, propose solutions and follow through without needing detailed direction.
- Clear written and spoken English. You can explain technical decisions to non-engineers.
- Curiosity, a practical mindset and a willingness to figure things out.
Nice to have
- Cloud and DevOps experience (AWS, Azure, Docker, Git**, CI/CD).
- Front-end experience (React or similar), or building for mobile or field use.
- Experience with time-series or sensor data.
- A habit of testing, logging, monitoring and evaluating your systems.
- Interest in energy, engineering or industrial software.
Why join us
- No layers: work directly with the founders. Decisions take days, not months.
- Your work ships: what you build will be used by real customers, fast.
- Real ownership: you'll take responsibility for meaningful parts of the product from day one.
- Equity: a vesting scheme gives you a stake in what you help build.
- Backed by Innovation Fund Denmark: Innofounder 2025 and Innobooster 2026.
