T1 Energy is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Training & Development Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate technical training programs for our high-volume solar module manufacturing facility. This role is essential to ensuring employees are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and certifications necessary to meet production goals, maintain safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires, including safety orientation, equipment operation, and quality standards.
- Design and update training materials (manuals, visual aids, e-learning modules) tailored to solar panel production processes.
- Monitor training effectiveness through key performance indicators such as production errors, safety incidents, and skill assessments; recommend and implement improvements as needed.
- Maintain accurate training records/attendance records and certification logs in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and engineers to identify skill gaps and deliver targeted training solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by conducting training on new equipment, process changes, and lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Assist with cross-training programs to build workforce flexibility and minimize production downtime.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Industrial Education, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing training role; experience in electronics, semiconductor, or solar manufacturing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and hands-on training methods.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, ISO quality standards, and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) compliance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-shift production environment.
- Bilingual in Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
- Able to present in front of 10-100 team members.
Work Environment
- Combination of office setting and production floor environment; includes standing, walking, and regular movement.
- May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing.
Schedule
- Full-time
- May require occasional evening or weekend training sessions to accommodate multiple shifts.
