Company Description

Trees for Uganda is a community-based social enterprise dedicated to restoring ecosystems, improving livelihoods, and fostering resilient communities in the Amuru, Omoro, and Gulu districts of Northern Uganda. The organization addresses critical challenges including deforestation, soil degradation, climate change impacts, and economic vulnerability.

Through integrated initiatives such as tree planting, climate-smart agriculture, agroforestry, vocational skills training, Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), and youth and women empowerment programs, Trees for Uganda supports communities in transitioning from vulnerability to resilience and self-reliance.

By combining environmental restoration with economic empowerment, the organization advances sustainable development that benefits both people and the planet. With every tree planted, every farmer trained, and every entrepreneur supported, Trees for Uganda contributes to building a greener, healthier, and more inclusive future.

Working collaboratively with local communities, development partners, government institutions, and international supporters, Trees for Uganda scales climate action and strengthens grassroots resilience.
