Thermo King’s Klinge Corporation team is seeking an Engineering Manager in York, PA to help shape the future of innovative, ultra‑reliable containerized temperature‑control solutions that protect critical chemicals, essential foodstuffs, and life‑changing medicine. In this influential role, you will lead a talented, multidisciplinary Engineering team, spanning Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Embedded Systems, and Product Engineering, and guide their success across new product development, sustaining engineering, and product application initiatives.
You will own engineering excellence for all Klinge products, with accountability for quality, cost, innovation, delivery, safety, performance, and durability. As a key member of the Product Growth Team, you’ll play a strategic role in driving project direction, shaping new offerings from concept through launch, and ensuring strong in‑line product maintenance. Collaboration is central to this role: you’ll partner closely with Integrated Supply Chain, quality and reliability teams, productivity engineering (VA/VE), and global support groups to enhance competitiveness and efficiency.

What you will do:
Base Pay Range: $113,500 – 198,900
Additional Compensation: This position includes an annual incentive

What you will do:
- Provide Engineering leadership to Klinge Corporation’s Product Growth Team responsible for product market share, margin, and growth goals.
- Manage a team of 6 engineers to successfully execute new product development, quality and reliability improvements, sustaining and product applications engineering, and customer order delivery using the Trane Technologies Product Development Process (PDP), while ensuring all Quality/Delivery/Cost (QDC) targets are met.
- Prioritize field issues, supply chain issues, etc. to meet customer demands and expectations.
- Lead strategic talent and capability planning, including the creation of roadmaps and the organizational change management needed to implement them effectively and with strong engagement. Identify key triggers that signal when to accelerate progress or adjust direction.
- Improve ability to leverage partnerships with our broader internal Trane Technologies teams to execute product engineering strategies.
- Develop external partnerships with suppliers.
- Ensure sustaining engineering work is executed efficiently to support production needs, supplier deviation and design change requests, and quality and reliability improvement projects.
- Drive completion of projects from concept through production that meet required standards, intended market specifications, and that meet all regulatory and certification requirements.
- Find opportunities to improve efficiency of project engineering work streams.
- Oversee and manage engineering budget and cost center.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and at least 10 years of engineering, product development, or relevant experience is required. Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of people management experience is required and demonstrable ability to lead and motivate teams toward identified goals.
- Experience in design, development, and application experience in HVAC, Refrigeration or other thermo-regulation experience. Preferred strong knowledge in engineering fundamentals including: refrigeration/ air conditioning, structures; heat transfer; airflow; electrical systems; electronics, and embedded firmware and software.
- Expertise in DFMEA, DFM, DFS, and reliability tools.
- Working knowledge of DFSS tools.
