Job Summary
Responsible for the development, upgrade, and maintenance of air conditioning products. This role involves creating and maintaining engineering design documents based on project requirements, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and product engineering database deliverables. The candidate will also play a key role in mechanical design, cost optimization, quality improvement, and new technology development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on NPD, VAVE, and RTS projects.
- Lead VAVE and quality improvement projects from idea generation through execution.
- Lead and coordinate mechanical design activities within projects.
- Prepare product layouts, sketches, and detailed drawings as required.
- Take ownership of unit layout and detailed design, including 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and related engineering deliverables.
- Prepare design review materials and participate in design review meetings.
- Conduct product cost analysis and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Support prototype builds and verification unit assembly.
- Research and develop new technologies for both new and existing products.
- Build and maintain the engineering department’s technical knowledge base.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design; experience in HVAC products is preferred.
- Familiarity with project management processes.
- Proficient in 3D design software; Creo is preferred.
- Good knowledge of sheet metal and tubing design.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and Design to Cost principles.
- Knowledge of tolerance design; FEA experience is preferred.
- Good English communication skills; CET-4 is required.
- Strong teamwork spirit and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
