Trane has an exciting new opportunity to join our organization as a Ductless Business Development Manager. In this position you will be providing business development and sales support in the design, application, and selection of Ductless products throughout the assigned territory. You will be working closely with our customers and account managers to support the growth of ductless solutions. The territory will cover VA and NC. This is a remote position within this geography.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for Ductless product sales and growth.
- Responsible for providing ductless sales solutions that involve teaming with Account Mangers in assigned territory.
- Work with leadership to develop, implement, and measure the ductless growth plan.
- Monitor, measure, and modify current processes to meet customer needs effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with customers, and co-workers.
- Build consultative relationships and trust with various residential customers.
- Support builders, engineers and design-build contractors with design, application, and code compliance.
- Understand market and develop/lead overall sales strategy.
- Provide high level technical product sales training to residential and supply district office personnel and customers as required.
- Responsible for keeping abreast of external market conditions and internal requirements related to portfolio. This includes energy rebates, tax incentives, and code within assigned territory.
- Responsible for internal communication flow to and from the ductless Product Sales Manager regarding Trane ductless.
- Participate in industry associations and trade shows.
- Genuinely and effectively works effectively with diverse team of different backgrounds and experiences to achieve business results.
- Mentors and assists with onboarding of new associates.
- Continuously seeks out opportunities for learning.
- Participate in different team and community involvement activities.
- Recognize others for work well done.
- Demonstrates engaging customer-facing behaviors and customer service

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology with a minimum of three years’ experience in the application, selection, and/or installation of ductless systems; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Working knowledge of all facets of construction including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, etc. preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Salesforce, Tableau and Oracle a plus.
- Must be able to work in a Matrix structure and collaborate with associates across the organization.
- A strong knowledge and comfort level with computers is necessary. Programs used include Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory
