The candidate will be reporting directly to the General Counsel EMEA & ANZ (based in Munich or Berlin or Oberhausen areas) and will be an integral part of the Trane Technologies EMEA & ANZ legal department.

The candidate will be reporting directly to the General Counsel EMEA & ANZ (based in Munich or Berlin or Oberhausen areas) and will be an integral part of the Trane Technologies EMEA & ANZ legal department.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support and expertise in several areas, including German and International contract law, German commercial law, German corporate law, and German construction law.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents in German and English (such as supply contracts, sales contracts, distribution agreements, OEM agreements, General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Purchases, confidentiality agreements, etc.).
- Advise our teams at AL-KO factories (Purchasing, Engineering, HSE, Human Resources, Finance, etc.), but also our sales offices involved in the commercialization of Trane Technologies air conditioning products in Germany and Austria and support the Trane Controls/BMS organization outside of Germany.
- Provide practical support and solutions for legal issues related to our operations in Germany in a rapidly changing environment.
- Analyse and manage commercial and/or technical claims as well as the portfolio of pending legal cases.
- Coordinate the activity of external lawyers.
- Collaborate with other members of the EMEA & ANZ legal department on European strategic initiatives and other M&A projects.
- Identify current and/or future legal risks and help determine how to respond to them operationally9.
- Organize training sessions for employees on various legal topics.
- Skills and knowledge of German law.
- Understanding of business activities and legal processes.
- Negotiation, writing, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as an in-house lawyer.
- IT proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluency in German and English. Any additional language will be seen as a plus.
- Ability to work with an international and multicultural audience.
- Agility, adaptability, rigor.
- Organizational skills and priority management.
- Autonomy and ability to work as a solo in-house lawyer interacting virtually with its European peers located in the region.
