Senior Electrical Development Engineer (f/m/d)
Job Summary
As a Senior Electrical Development Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable transport refrigeration. You will drive innovation through the development and integration of advanced power electronics, high-voltage battery solutions, and pioneering electrical machines. Working closely with OEMs and cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for engineering and optimizing smart refrigeration systems for full-electric transport applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate power electronics for next-generation refrigeration systems, HV-battery solutions, and innovative electrical machines.
- Engineer, optimize and validate smart refrigeration systems for all-electric transport applications, setting new standards for efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with renowned OEMs to transform electric and communication interfaces on new truck platforms, ensuring seamless integration of advanced refrigeration technology.
- Coordinate global initiatives, international research networks, and top external consultants to develop pioneering solutions.
- Apply practical skills to set up, analyze, and evaluate electrical tests on prototype components and complete systems.
- Manage and contribute to product release activities, ensuring compliance with specified regulations and standards (CE, ECE R10, ECE R100, ISO 6469, ISO 26262, etc.).
- Partner with teams from service, manufacturing, quality, and workshops to develop customer-focused solutions.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 8 years of industrial experience, preferably with a focus on power electronics or HV battery systems.
- Collaborative and well-organized approach, with excellent technical analysis abilities and confident independent decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with electrical component specification, high-voltage systems, vehicle electronics, CAN communication, and software architecture.
- High-voltage qualification (DGUV 209-093/ECE R100) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Oracle, Siemens Teamcenter, PTC CREO Schematics, and Windchill is an advantage.
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
- Results-oriented, with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
