Where Is The Work
Prioritize engaging with customers. When not directly interacting with customers; collaborate with colleagues in your office.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn how to interpret construction plans, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Assist with receiving materials, tracking quantities received vs. ordered, update the project manager on status, and keep the project assigned shelves organized
- Assist with installing sensors, controllers, wiring, and low-voltage devices for HVAC and building automation systems.
- Support technicians in configuring and programming control systems based on project requirements.
- Help perform system start-up, commissioning tasks, and functional testing.
- Troubleshoot basic control issues, wiring problems, and communication faults with supervision.
- Document work performed, update system drawings, and record field observations.
- Support field teams in maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Observe and assist with customer interactions and jobsite coordination.
- Currently working toward a degree or certification in electrical engineering technology, HVAC, automation, controls, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of HVAC principles, electrical systems, or control theory (preferred).
- Interest in building automation, controls programming, and mechanical systems.
- Willingness to work in field environments, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and active construction sites.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Hands-on experience with building automation components and HVAC controls.
- Field installation techniques, commissioning processes, and troubleshooting methods.
- Exposure to industry-standard tools, software, and equipment.
- Practical understanding of mechanical–electrical–controls integration.
