What’s In It For You
The Logistics Procurement Program Manager will primarily be responsible for administrative activities across the transportation procurement categories, including maintaining system integrity for rate and carrier allocations, administering contracts and tracking negotiation status, and updating and publishing department key performance metrics.
The successful candidate will also create, lead, and facilitate initiatives that ensure the success of the logistics function by meeting the goals for productivity, service/ capacity, and sustainability through partnering with the logistics procurement team, transportation planning and operations, freight bill audit and payment, logistics analytics and supply chain technology, shippers in the SBU, and IT teams to ensure successful completion of these programs.
The Logistics Procurement Program Manager will develop, own, and oversee the pipeline of strategic enhancements to both processes and technology related to logistics procurement, shipment planning, and execution. Depending on the project need, the position will act as a business lead, project manager, and/ or support resource for several business initiatives such as expansion of spot bidding technology, rate shopping/ shipment tendering capabilities, and others.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ownership of the department freight bidding and rate repository process and technology. Also, the candidate will own the process to ensure a robust logistics procurement productivity pipeline and support OpEx maturation across the logistics procurement function. This position is eligible for relocation.

What you will do:
- Track supplier and transportation performance metrics, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues and supporting accurate KPI reporting
- Track, update, and publish department key performance metrics, ensuring data accuracy and timely communication to stakeholders
- Maintain system integrity for transportation procurement tools by ensuring accurate rate loading, carrier allocations, and configuration updates
- Document and maintain Logistics Procurement standard work, standard operating procedures, and process-related improvement initiatives
- Liaison with internal departments and across business units on issues related to Logistics Procurement and Logistics Operations
- Manage contract administration, overseeing contract execution and manage the supplier invoicing process in partnership with Finance, IT Program Management, and IT Sourcing
- Monitor and coordinate active logistics projects, updating statuses, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate, as well as investigating, coordinating, and communicating project changes
- Responsible for managing the productivity pipeline for logistics procurement related projects and coordinating productivity events and initiatives
- Responsible for ownership of department freight bidding and rate repository process and technology
- Develop project scope, develop project success criteria, oversee business and IT requirement gathering, create project timelines, and co-develop robust test and launch plans with stakeholders
- Responsible for overseeing and influencing operational process changes and master data clean-up prior to launching new technology
- Ensure proper governance is in place to maintain configurations and data integrity in logistics systems
- Will oversee and facilitate supplier selection as required for new technology implementations
- 5+ years of experience with leading supply chain projects/ program management, analytics, cost improvement initiatives.
- Proficient knowledge of logistics concepts including procurement, transportation management, operations, freight payment, and freight claims.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze and work to remove ambiguity with data.
- Ability to successfully manage and deliver complex programs through multi-generational project planning
- Experience in understanding customer problems, project scoping, developing project success criteria, developing business requirements, coordinating IT enhancements, overseeing test script creation, and completing business testing to ensure successful implementation of projects.
- Ability to develop and deliver creative and effective solutions when problems, surprises, and new requirements arise
- Procurement category management preferred, within or external to logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or data science.
- Ability to travel up to 20%
