In this pivotal role, you will facilitate the design and manufacturing of our current & next line of exciting products. As an Architect, you will collaborate closely with the firmware team & cross-functional teams to build industry-relevant products that meet required specifications for our global customers. The projects could be in the areas of Productivity, New product development, Quality and reliability, Agile, New technology platform and others.

Where Is The Work:

This position is an onsite role based out of Bangalore.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for telematics firmware development.
  • Manage a team of Software Engineers developing Embedded software. This will involve understanding the requirements and driving across various software development life cycle.
  • Define overall system and firmware architecture, including hardware abstraction, OS configuration, connectivity modules, and application layers.
  • Drive firmware roadmap, platform modularization, and long‑term architectural strategy.
  • Responsible for delivering software releases for new products and enhancing existing products.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, cloud, and product teams to align system requirements and interface specifications.
  • Architect, design, and develop embedded systems and modular software applications in C, Rust for Embedded Linux platforms
  • Develop multithreaded applications and libraries for embedded systems, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Oversee firmware performance optimization, memory management, bootloader strategy, and power‑management architectures.
  • Identify and suggest improvements for products and its quality.
  • Work on new product development, new technology initiatives & productivity improvements.
  • Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices for embedded Linux development.
  • Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and feasibility studies.
  • Support security architecture including secure boot, OTA firmware updates, and data protection.
  • Serve as a technical mentor to firmware engineering teams.

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience in design and development of an Embedded Systems.
  • Expert knowledge in developing modular application software using C for an Embedded Linux system.
  • Experience in writing multithreaded application software’s and libraries for Embedded Linux system.
  • Strong expertise in embedded Linux, including kernel configuration, device drivers, BSP creation, and system services.
  • Experience with ARM-based microprocessors and SoCs.
  • Good knowledge of Hardware/Software interfaces and reading schematics.
  • Experience in communication interfaces like CAN, RS232, I2C, SPI, Bluetooth/BLE & GSM AT Commands.
  • Experience in standard automotive communication protocols like J1939.
  • Experience in using various tools like static code analysis, run time debugging tools like GDB & memory debugging tools like Valgrind.
  • Experience in managing cross functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in release planning and executions.
  • An innovative approach to improve processes and solve problems.
  • Good working knowledge in agile-based product development methodology.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Telematics domain is an added advantage.
  • A degree in engineering with 15+ years of experience in embedded software development with at least 5 years in an architect role.
