EPC Project Manager
Job Title: EPC Project Manager – Renewable Energy
Location: Hybrid (Travel Required to Project Sites)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract (High Potential for Extension)
Per Diem: $550/Week for qualified non-local candidates who are relocating for the assignment.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to lead the planning, development, execution, and commissioning of large-scale renewable energy projects. This role will be responsible for managing utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, and other renewable energy projects valued at over $100 million. The Project Manager will oversee project scope, budget, schedule, risk management, stakeholder communication, and overall project execution while coordinating cross-functional teams, engineering consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead utility-scale renewable energy projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk.
- Develop Project Charters, Project Management Plans, Risk Registers, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate engineering firms, consultants, contractors, landowners, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to leadership.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently at various stages of development.
- Develop project execution strategies for EPC and other project delivery models.
- Monitor project financials, forecasts, and expenditures.
- Ensure project objectives are achieved safely, on time, and within budget.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
- Experience managing large-scale capital projects valued at $100M+.
- Renewable energy project experience (Solar, Wind, BESS, or related).
- Strong project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
- Experience with SAP.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification.
- Experience working with utilities, municipalities, regulatory agencies, landowners, and large energy customers.
- Experience leading EPC or Build-Own-Operate projects.
Work Schedule:
- Hybrid schedule with routine travel to project sites.
Flexible schedule required to support project demands and milestones.
