Performance Manager - Technical Decarbonization

Your Role: Make an Impact on our environmental footprint
You will enjoy being part of a team with a big impact on TORM´s environmental footprint and bottom-line. The Technical Decarbonization team is responsible for measuring, analyzing and determining actual fleet performance as well as engaging in implementation of projects for fulfilling TORM’s CO2 emission reduction goals.
Apart from reducing fuel consumption mainly on auxiliary engines and boilers, you will be supporting TORM ́s Tanker and Technical Divisions by delivering value adding data analysis and decision support by utilizing available data from the fleet and the office.
We are implementing NEXUS, our in-house made common platform for sharing information.
This position will be reporting to Head of Technical Decarbonization and working from TORM´s office in Copenhagen.
Key Responsibilities
- Being the NEXUS data master, able to follow the data from sensors all the way to the database and able to qualify whether the data is sufficiently accurate
- Use your creativity to build user interface models for our NEXUS software
- Supervise and drive the creation of Automated Guidance making sure they are meaningful and correctly identifies saving opportunities
- Carry out pilot projects on energy efficiency technologies when new ideas must be tested.
- Daily energy efficiency evaluation and engaging the vessels with significant excess fuel consumption
- Vessel visits as and when business activities allow
- Engage with Senior officers onboard to drive constant power voyage instructions
- Discuss specific energy efficiency topics with Vessel Managers
- Provide feedback to crew regarding the quality of data they provide
- Ensure co-operation through cross-functional teamwork and knowledge sharing
- Attending Officer’s seminar as needed
Your Profile
The ideal candidate has a background as a marine engineer or deck officer with some sailing experience, preferably on tankers. If you are more of a data/electronics tech savvy it may also be a match.
To succeed in this role, you bring/are
- Result-driven and passionate about operational performance
- Excellent user of MS Excel and flair for data analysis
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- A team player with excellent cultural understanding and awareness
- Experience from the product tanker industry is a great advantage
