We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Development – Solar/BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) for a full-time, on-site position in Phoenix, AZ. The Director will be responsible for leading development efforts across all project phases, including site selection, permitting, resource assessment, project design, financial modeling, and managing the interconnection process. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Additionally, the Director will provide strategic guidance and oversee compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

• Proven experience in Solar and BESS project development, including site evaluation, permitting, and design.
• Knowledge of interconnection processes, regulatory compliance, and resource assessment in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, including coordination across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting for renewable energy projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience with renewable energy project financing and a deep understanding of solar and energy storage technology is preferred.
