Operations & Project Manager - Startup - Data Team

Thermosphr optimises energy management for commercial buildings - offices, shopping centres, universities. We combine software, real-time control, and on-the-ground operations to deliver over 30% energy savings across 1 million sqm in Europe.

The role
The Berlin team is growing and needs someone to be its connective tissue. You will work across technical, operational, and client-facing contexts - coordinating, unblocking, intervening when things go sideways, and finding smarter ways to do things.
This is not just a coordination role. It is for someone who is curious, adaptable, and genuinely excited by the idea of making a complex operation run better - using every tool available, including AI.
Data is part of how we work every day - you will be expected to address simple data questions, dig into numbers, and solve problems without always having a specialist available.
What you will do
- Coordinate live projects across technical and client teams - keep things moving, close open loops
- Intervene directly on complex situations: take back control of a building, align technical interlocutors, unblock what is stuck
- Run workshops and align people who do not always agree
- Present clearly to clients - without overselling, without losing the thread
- Spot inefficiencies and push for better solutions - you do not accept "that's how we've always done it"
- Contribute to recruiting efforts in the early months as the Berlin team scales
What we are looking for
- 0 to 2 years of experience - mindset matters more than seniority
- Speaking French is a huge plus, German not required
- Comfortable with data - you can run a basic analysis, dig into numbers, and draw conclusions without waiting for someone else. SQL with a LLM assist is perfectly fine.
- Curious about technology, energy systems, and how buildings actually work
- Humble enough to ask questions before judging, confident enough to hold your ground
- Comfortable with people - you build trust quickly, with clients, engineers, and maintenance teams alike
- At ease managing multiple projects in parallel - you keep a clear head when everything is moving at once
- You use Claude, ChatGPT, or other LLMs as part of how you work - not as a novelty
- Open to finding better ways to do things - you do not wait for someone to tell you a process is broken
- You finish what you start
