Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Finance Manager.

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the Trust, ensuring accurate and timely transactional processing and record keeping. In addition, the role includes responsibility managing the payroll process, treasury management, providing support to the Director of Finance and Central Services, as well as providing grant administration support to project officers. The post holder will provide line management for the Finance team to ensure we the best possible financial service to our colleagues.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is currently embedding a new financial system, Iplicit, and the successful candidate will play a key role in cementing this transition including the potential to develop further financial process improvements.

This is a key role in ensuring the finances of the Trust run smoothly ideal for a solutions-focussed individual.

Suitable for a CIMA/ACCA/AAT qualified/near qualified candidate, with broad management and operational accounting experience. Charity accounting knowledge is useful but not essential, experience of typical functions such as sales/purchase ledger, payroll, VAT, management accounting and reporting with the agility to flex to the department’s demands is essential.
