Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated Fundraising Officer to join our friendly, supportive, fundraising team.

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading nature conservation charity and is supported by around 23,000 members, approximately one in 25 residents in Worcestershire. We are supported by several funders, ranging from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to charitable trusts and foundations, corporates and individual donors. Our fundraising enables our nature conservation work to take place, ranging from purchasing new sites for nature reserves to funding day-to-day conservation work and engaging the public about the wonders of nature.

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Officer, the Trust’s Fundraising Officer is responsible for researching and identifying potential fundraising opportunities, bid writing, initiating and building relationships with corporates and the community, generating income from sales and fundraising activities and identifying new revenue streams. The postholder will work closely with colleagues at the Trust, including our reserves and engagement teams and our Communications Lead.

The Trust’s fundraising needs change and evolve as the Trust and the fundraising landscape changes and evolves. We have excellent relationships with key funders and are supported by thousands of members.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for fundraising and an interest in our work.

Some evening and occasional weekend working will be required, a full driving licence is essential.

The role will be largely based at Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, Lower Smite Farm, Hindlip, Worcester WR3 8SZ with occasional travel throughout Worcestershire. The Trust works on a hybrid basis, with full-time equivalent staff working from the office three days per week and from home up to two days per week.
