Handa Island,

There is a pedestrian ferry service to Handa Island which runs on demand from Tarbet on the mainland during the visitor season (from early April to late August/early September in 2017). Tarbet is signposted from the A894 about 3 miles north of Scourie and 3 miles south of Laxford Bridge.

The 2017 season ran from 3 April to 2 September., Scourie/ Ullapool/ Lochinver, IV27 4SS

An outstanding opportunity for a passionate, highly motivated and skilled job-share couple or individual person to effectively manage this remote and beautiful island, its wildlife and 8000-plus visitors.

This exciting role requires excellent organisational skills, coupled with a high degree of flexibility.

You will be responsible for organising work programs for yourself and a team of volunteers, with the ability to constantly adapt your plan according to changing conditions. Living and working with your team, and other occasional guests, will play to your excellent people skills, and you will be comfortable in a highly sociable environment.
