Assistant Catering & Retail Manager

Are you an experienced and keen individual with a background in catering in restaurants, hotels or event spaces who is looking for a new opportunity?

The successful candidate for this vacancy will work in a fantastic environment on a beautiful floating visitor village and event venue, located on the main lake on our largest family friendly nature reserve, with a friendly welcoming team who all work together to generate income for our wonderful conservation charity.

This is a great opportunity for someone working in hospitality who is looking for a change of pace. With standard 9am-5pm opening hours, and a number of events throughout the year, this deviates from the hospitality industry standards of split shifts, weekly late closes and early opens.

The bulk of your time will be spent leading from the front, ensuring all our visitors get a fantastic experience on site. You will be supported by the Retail & Catering Manager, and you will have a team of staff and supervisors who work in our two cafes, ice cream chalet and conference and wedding centre.

One of the key elements of this role will focus on looking after our weddings, conferences and events, so past experience in the events industry would be a bonus.
