The Conservation Strategy Intern will join the Conservation Strategy Directorate teams supporting nature’s recovery across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire. Our directorate’s programme spans policy, planning advocacy, and landscape recovery.

You will support the delivery of projects and initiatives, local planning and development work, and will help to develop new landscape recovery projects.

Through this internship you will learn a diverse array of valuable skills, techniques and practices that are essential for working in the sector. You’ll be encouraged and supported to attend training courses in subjects or activities of interest to you and we’ll ensure you are working with skilled and talented colleagues across the Conservation Strategy Directorate who will make sure you gain the most from your time with us.

Recent graduates or those with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.

The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.

Salary: FTE £21,507 (£17,205 pro rata) per annum

Contract: 1 year fixed term contract

Hours: Part-time (28 hours per week)

Based: The Lodge, Littlemore, Oxford (flexibility available)
