We are currently recruiting for a Catering & Retail Manager to lead our excellent team of staff and volunteers in delivering a high-quality and profitable retail, hospitality and catering offer for conference delegates, members of the public, event attendees and other visitors.

To succeed, you’ll need significant experience of managing a busy catering environment, including experience of line management, delivering excellent customer experience and managing budgets. In addition, you will be a strong decision maker, have the ability to develop positive working relationships and be willing to embrace change to deliver positive results.

You’ll have guidance and support from our General Manager and friendly colleagues, but we really want you to think on your feet and ‘put yourself in the customer’s shoes’.

£27,970.56 per annum


This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) contract, worked on a flexible pattern to reflect the 7 day per week operation of the business. Regular weekend (Saturday and Sunday), bank holiday, and occasional evening work will be required.


Based at our Attenborough Nature Centre (NG9 6DY) and our Idle Valley Rural Learning Centre (DN22 8SG), As frequent travel is required, you will require a full UK driving licence.
