‘The Bay: A Blueprint for Recovery’ is an exciting programme made possible with funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery. Helping people recover from the effects of Covid19 and resulting social isolation, the project will see systemic change and lasting legacy.

The Bay: A Blueprint for Recovery’ is an exciting programme that is helping people and communities recover from the effects of The Covid19 Pandemic. Our delivery enables local people to take advantage of the therapeutic benefits of the coastal environment while encouraging the conservation of Morecambe Bay.

We have created 3 delivery focus areas (Barrow-in-Furness, Morecambe, Fleetwood) that provide therapeutic nature activities to engage the Morecambe Bay communities, bringing people together to positively reconnect with each other and with nature.

Eleven members of staff make up ‘The Bay’ project team, employed across Lancashire Wildlife Trust, the Eden Project, and Cumbria Wildlife Trust.

Are you excited about working within a dynamic and innovative partnership, in an amazing natural setting? Are you passionate about people and natures recovery? We are looking for:

  • Trainee (x2) to work with our teams in Morecambe (as part of the Eden project team) and Wyre (as part of The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside team)
